VisibleDust Arctic Butterfly 724 (Brite) lights up sensor cleaning
Saturday, June 21, 2008 | by Rob Galbraith
VisibleDust is now shipping a revamped version of its Arctic Butterfly 724 self-cleaning sensor brush for digital SLR cameras. Called Arctic Butterfly 724 (Brite), the new model adds a single LED to the handle of the brush to make it easier to see inside the mirror box and therefore more carefully target the sensor during the cleaning process. A three-stage power switch enables the device to be used with the light on or off as needed.

Arctic Butterfly 724 (Brite) replaces the Arctic Butterfly 724 in VisibleDust's lineup, and takes the same accessory brush tips as its predecessor. It's now shipping directly from VisibleDust both by itself (for about US$110) and in bundles with one of the company's Sensor Loupe illuminated sensor inspection tools. Arctic Butterfly 724 (Brite) is also beginning to appear on the product pages of VisibleDust dealers.

Over the last several months, VisibleDust has also introduced a second Sensor Loupe model with greater magnification, called Sensor Loupe 7X, redesigned UltraMXD-Vswab 1.0x and DHAP- Vswab 1.0x wet-cleaning swabs for use with the Nikon D3, Canon EOS 5D and other full-frame sensor cameras plus a Mirror Brush attachment for the Arctic Butterfly 724 line.
