ExpoImaging introduces versatile FlashBenders shoe mount light modifiers
Monday, June 7, 2010 | by Rob Galbraith
ExpoImaging, makers of the Ray Flash ring attachment, has introduced FlashBenders, a line of three modifiers for shoe mount flashes that can be bent into a shape and then hold that shape, to quickly switch from snoot to flag to bounce card and back.

FlashBenders are made of cordura nylon, have an internal white surface that's promised to be neutral and incorporate a velcro band for direct attachment to the flash. They are available in three sizes:
  • Large Positionable Reflector, 10 x 11 (254mm x 280mm), three internal positioning rods
  • Small Positionable Reflector, 10 x 7 (254mm x 178mm), two internal positioning rods
  • Bendable Bounce Card/Flag, 5 x 9 (127mm x 228mm), one internal positioning rod

FlashBenders are being sold under the brand name Rogue Photographic Design which, says a press release, " is a new line of innovative lighting equipment for small strobe lighting enthusiasts" from ExpoImaging.

FlashBenders are shipping now, direct from ExpoImaging as well as from dealers that carry their products. When purchased direct, the prices are:
  • Large Positionable Reflector, US$39.95
  • Small Positionable Reflector, US$34.95
  • Bendable Bounce Card / Flag, US$29.95
A set containing all three is US$104.85.
