We're gradually building out the Secure Digital (SD) section of the CompactFlash Performance Database:
Joining the Sandisk and Delkin SD cards already tested in the Canon EOS-1D Mark II and Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n is a 512MB SD card from ATP with a 60X speed rating (note that speed ratings across manufacturers are rarely directly comparable because of differing methods used to generate the speed ratings).
We've also retested all SD cards in the EOS-1D Mark II and the SLR/n, after a routine spot-check suggested the JPEG write speed numbers originally posted for the MKII were on the low side. The retesting didn't impact the SLR/n, whose write speed measured within about 1% of previous tests. Nor did the MKII RAW .CR2 write speed change significantly. For reasons we can't explain, however, MKII JPEG write speed did, by up to about 10%, despite apparently identical camera settings. The relative ranking of cards, however, did not change.
