Quantum announces Turbo AC power pack
Wednesday, May 11, 2005 | by Rob Galbraith

Quantum has announced The Turbo AC, a power pack that can drive both a digital camera and flash unit simultaneously.

The Turbo AC is powered by a standard 100-240 VAC wall socket, but it outputs DC current to drive any compatible electronic flash, digital camera or other device for continuous operation.

It can be mounted to a tripod via a threaded socket on its base, or clamped to a light stand or tripod leg using an included clamp. It will also attach to a camera's tripod socket.

A Quantum press release doesn't note the Turbo AC's price or date of availability. As of this writing, the Quantum web site hasn't been updated with information on the new product.
