Firmware v2.1.2 for Canon EOS 5D Mark II now available
Wednesday, February 29, 2012 | by Rob Galbraith
Firmware v2.1.2 for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, released earlier this month, "[o]ptimizes the camera’s performance when using certain UDMA 7-compatible CF cards released in February 2012 or later."

The firmware's changes are probably aimed at Lexar's 1000X CompactFlash series, which began to arrive at retailers in the last two weeks.
