Slated to ship in September 2006, Optics Pro v4 for Windows and Mac, the next version of the image processing software from DxO Labs, will be faster, offer new colour rendering and colour adjustment tools, an expanded range of optical corrections, will run natively on Macs with Intel processors and will ship as both a standalone application and as a Photoshop plug-in (the plug-in will include "core DxO image correction features," says a press release).

The company is also planning to release v4 of the software in public beta form, ahead of its official release; you can sign up to be notified when the beta is available.
