Canon Canada sets CPS price for EOS-1D X

Canon Canada this week has set the price that Canadian Canon Professional Services (CPS) members will pay for the upcoming EOS-1D X. The CPS discount brings the cost of the new digital SLR down significantly from the expected non-member street price of CDN$6999.99.

If you're a Canadian CPS member, contact a Canon pro products dealer to find out the exact CPS purchase price for the new pro model.

In 2010, Canon Canada instituted a tiered CPS program with yearly fees of either CDN$100 for Gold or CDN$250 for Platinum level membership, in exchange for discounts on service, access to service loaner gear and gear for rent plus other benefits. The changes followed similar CPS revamps in other countries.

The Gold level membership does not require the applicant to be a working professional, though anyone applying must meet certain equipment ownership requirements. More information is on the Canon Canada CPS Program Details page.
