A public beta of firmware v1.0 for Wearable's AirStash wireless reader is now available. The main change in the new firmware is WebDAV support, which enables iWork  (and perhaps other) apps on an Apple iOS device to read from and write to an SD card in a wireless-connected AirStash.

It also improves video streaming and lays the groundwork for the company's upcoming photo app for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The app will include the ability to import photos both one at a time and in batches, with an option to reduce the resolution of pics as they arrive.

The app is tentatively slated for release later this month.
