Wacom announces Intuos3 pen tablets

Wacom has announced a new generation of Intuos professional pen tablets called the Intuos3. The new tablets will be available in three sizes with active areas of 4x5, 6x8, and 9x12 inches.

New features on the Intuos3 tablets include ExpressKeys, which can perform the functions of keyboard modifiers such as Ctrl, Alt, and Shift, and Touch Strips, which are designed to be used with your non-dominant hand and allow zooming, scrolling, and other functions.

The Intuos3 tablets are scheduled to ship in the middle of this month. Estimated street prices are US$199.95 (4x5), US$329.99 (6x8), and US$449.99 (9x12) in the U.S.
