Snapseed comes to Mac and Android

Nik Software has announced that its photo editing and sharing application, Snapseed, previously available for the iOS, is now also available for the Mac OS and for Android tablets powered by the NVIDIA Tegra processor and running Android 4.x (a.k.a. Ice Cream Sandwich). 

Snapseed is designed to be an easy-to-use but capable image editor; it includes Nik's U Point technology for easily making localized image edits and a range of filters for quickly applying different looks and effects to an image. 

The Mac version of Snapseed is compatible with Mac OS 10.6.8 or later. It's available on the Mac App Store for US$19.99. 

Snapseed for Android will be compatible initially with Android tablets powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 or Tegra 3 processors and running Android 4.0 or later. It will be available, in English, on the Android Market in "early 2012" for US$4.99. The wording of Nik's press release implies that the app may become available for tablets based on other processors at a later date but does not give any specifics.
