Nikon D2Hs to ship March 25 in USA, UK
Thursday, March 17, 2005 | by Rob Galbraith

The 4MP D2Hs digital SLR, Nikon's follow-on to the D2H, will ship March 25, 2005 in the U.S., says Steve Heiner,  Nikon USA's General Manager of Digital SLR Systems.

The new model should begin landing at dealers around that time, joining the D2X, which began to ship about a month earlier. Improvements in the D2Hs are expected to included improved colour (with colour rendition similar to the D2X) and lower noise, as well as nearly all of the functionality enhancements introduced in the D2X, including support for the WT-2/2a wireless transmitter and for Lexar's LockTight CompactFlash card encryption technology.

Nikon UK issued a press release today indicating that the D2Hs will ship on March 25, 2005 in that country as well, suggesting that the camera is likely to be coming available worldwide by the end of this month.
