NEX-7 among Sony cameras to be delayed because of Thailand flooding
Monday, October 17, 2011 | by Rob Galbraith
A note from Sony Canada sent to Canadian dealers today indicates that delivery of the NEX-7, SLT-A77 and SLT-A65 will be delayed because of recent flooding at Sony's Thailand factories.

When the trio of enthusiast cameras from Sony will now arrive in Canadian stores isn't known. All three models had originally been slated to ship next month. The delay almost certainly affects delivery of the cameras worldwide, not just Canada, though it's possible that some regions will see a few bodies in the weeks ahead.

Recent flooding in the same area of the country has also affected production of certain Nikon digital SLRs and lenses, Canon inkjet printers as well as products in other industries.
