Thanks for emails
Wednesday, September 12, 2001 | by
Thanks to all who've sent emails asking about my well-being in the wake of Tuesday's events. Sitting in a grounded American Airlines jet on the tarmac at New York's Laguardia Airport as the first plane struck the World Trade Center, I, like everyone else with a vantage of the twin towers, watched in horror as the skyscrapers were destroyed. Thanks to the assistance of Nikon USA's Mike Rubin and Canon USA's Chuck Westfall, I'm safely tucked away on Long Island, and will begin the trip home to Canada Thursday via rental car.

My view from Laguardia Airport, shortly after the collapse of the first
tower at the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001. Photo shot with
a Nikon D1X, AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8 and TC-14E II extender.
