PictureCode has this week posted the release candidate of the Photoshop plug-in version of Noise Ninja.
The latest near-final release of the plug-in, which has been tagged v2.0.3a to match the version number of its standalone application counterparts, adds support for Photoshop Actions (yah!), and incorporates all the key features of the standalone version, including a Noise Brush for selectively applying/removing Noise Ninja filtering as well as automatic noise profile loading.
Barring the discovery of any last-minute glitches, says PictureCode's Jim Christian, v2.0.3a of the Noise Ninja Photoshop plug-in will morph into the first official release of the software sometime in February 2005.
A change log describes what's new in v2.0.3/2.0.3a. The release candidate for Mac and Windows, like previous beta releases, can be download and used at no charge, by entering a demo key into the license area of the software (the current demo key is on the download page). PictureCode is, however, already accepting orders for the Photoshop plug-in (both the Home and Pro iterations) for those who want to establish a permanent license now and forego the re-entering of new demo key information every so often.
