If you'd welcome an intensive week of training on Nikon's D-series digital SLR cameras, the opportunity to shoot photos in a scenic location and feedback from some of the best photographers working today, the Second Annual Digital Summit Workshop may be for you.
The week-long event, which runs June 23-28 in Vail, Colorado, features a faculty comprised of some of the finest magazine and newspaper photographers in North America, including David Alan Harvey, Dave Black and Joe McNally. I'll also be in attendance, backstopping the daily digital-specific instruction and providing one-on-one coaching.
Nikon will be there in force as well, supplying digital SLR camera bodies, lenses and support. On hand will be a bevy of D1, D1X and D1H cameras for participants to shoot; if the D100 is hitting the streets by then, it will also be available for hands-on use at the workshop. Other sponsors include Apple, Epson and Lexar. They will be supplying Mac workstations, inkjet printers and CompactFlash cards, respectively, to be used during the workshop.
The week will conclude with a large format print exhibition at a location in the Vail Valley. The cost of the Digital Summit Workshop is US$1200. For more information, see the Rich Clarkson and Associates web site, or call +1 800-745-3211.
