| Until July 31, LPA Design will swap any older PocketWizard MultiMAX with a Custom ID loaded for the latest, USB port-equipped MultiMAX model for US$195, including the transfer of Custom IDs to the new units. | Cameras that disable or alter GPS data in China |
| On the blog Ogle Earth, Stefan Geens has posted an article on the issue of cameras disabling or restricting GPS functions while in China or near its borders. Apparently, some, but not all, camera companies have interpreted Chinese law to mean that they must not allow their cameras to record and display GPS information while in China. Companies that apparently restrict or alter GPS functioning in China include Nikon, Panasonic, and Samsung; companies that, as of now, evidently do not, include Canon, Sony, and Olympus. |
