The time it took to transfer 200 EOS-1D JPEG photos from CompactFlash card to computer was tested using the cards and readers listed. The times have been converted to Kilobytes per second; the fastest throughput for each card/reader combination is in bold.

Because the data has been converted from transfer time to K/sec, higher numbers are better in this section of the report. 1) This computer's FireWire port does not provide power, so the reader was connected through a powered Orange Micro OrangeLink FireWire Hub. 2) The reader was connected to an Adaptec DuoConnect FireWire/USB 2.0 PCI card installed in the computer. |
