| Sony to take wraps off new digital SLR next week, says PC World |

Sony is to announce a new digital SLR in its Alpha series next week, say an article published today on the PC World website. No details about the new model are given, though as the article notes, it's likely to be the electronics maker's full-frame, 24+MP camera, which was first revealed earlier this year.
A gathering in Tokyo, slated for September 10, is when the new Sony camera is to be unveiled. On a related note, Toronto pro photo retailer Headshots Rentals recently sent out an invitation for a September 9 Sony event at which a new Alpha model would be shown.
