The Boston Globe's The Big Picture fills your browser with good photography
Friday, June 20, 2008 | by Rob Galbraith
Launched officially only three weeks ago, The Big Picture, a blog at The Boston Globe website featuring galleries of photographs culled from the wire services, NASA and elsewhere, is quickly becoming an essential destination for those who like to look at good pictures of current events, presented at an uncommonly large (for the web) size.

The new feature is the brainchild of The Boston Globe website's Alan Taylor. Taylor, who works as a web developer on other areas of the site, also selects, prepares and posts the photos that appear in The Big Picture.

An interview with Taylor gives some interesting background on how The Big Picture came into existence.
