| Michael Bass offering new PocketWizard cable customization |

If you have an existing pre-release cable for an LPA Design PocketWizard radio remote, Michael Bass is now offering a modification service that will enable it to work with the accessory port at the base of newer MultiMAX units, instead of (or in addition to) a miniphone jack on the top.
Bass is offering two different modifications:
-
If you have an LPA Design pre-release cable with an inline switchbox, Bass will add a second cable leading from the switchbox, one that ends in a stereo miniphone plug and is compatible with the MultiMAX's accessory port.
Modified this way, the pre-release cable is compatible with all PocketWizards old and new, but it can also take advantage of the remote pre-release enable/disable feature of mid-2007 and newer MultiMAXes. The fee for this modification is US$50 plus shipping.
-
Switchless pre-release cables can be converted from a mono miniphone plug to a stereo miniphone plug for the same US$50 plus shipping. Once converted, these cables will be compatible only with MultiMAXes with an accessory port near the shoe.
For more information about the remote pre-release enable/disable feature of mid-2007 and newer MultiMAX units, see LPA Design now shipping PocketWizard MultiMAX with USB port.
