Apple this morning released
Aperture 2, a new version of its pro imaging application for Mac that boasts over 100 new features. The application is available for the cost of shipping to those who purchased Aperture after January 1, 2008; otherwise it's a US$99 upgrade, or US$199 for a new license.
Apple's U.S. and Canada online stores are showing Aperture 2 as shipping in 1-3 business days. A
trial version is available (if you're already an Aperture user, be sure to read the Important Notes section of the trial download page before installing the Aperture 2 trial - the trial version will not open an existing Aperture library).
