You can feel the cold in this gallery of photos from National Geographic News depicting the severe cold and heavy snows which accounted for dozens of deaths in Asia. Among the other photos making the Natioinal Geographic News is a carpet python about to undergo a golf ball-ectomy after gobbling up four golf balls. A New South Wales farmer had placed the golf balls in his chicken coop to encourage the hens to lay their eggs in a designated place. When he returned to the henhouse, the golf balls were missing but he discovered the bumpy-bodied python.
