We discovered a particulary good batch of macro photographs by Mike Moats while browsing the Nature Photographers Online Magazine. Moats has used several models of Fujifilm digital SLRs, including the FinePix S2 Pro and S5 Pro, to shoot much of his recent work.

 

Many of his photographs, along with some shooting information, can be found in this PBase gallery, as well as on his own website. A quick study in the macro world, Moats took up photography as a hobby in 2001, turned pro soon after, and since then his career has taken off. He's a member of the Fujifilm Talent Team and also operates a series of close-up photography workshops.
