Phase One has announced that all models of their Plus-series digital backs - the P 45+, P 30+, P 21+, P 25+ and P 20+ - are now shipping. First announced last fall, the Plus series promises improved colour, lower noise, the ability to shoot long exposures without a significant degradation in image quality, support for unlimited burst shooting with SanDisk Extreme IV CompactFlash cards (and perhaps other UDMA Mode 4 or higher CompactFlash as well) and other feature improvements.

 

Capture One 4, the next major release of the software for Phase One backs and digital SLRs, is not yet shipping but is on track to be released later this year.
