Microsoft has published a Photo Info FAQ that contains essential information for anyone wishing to use their recently-released Photo Info add-on for Windows XP and Vista to edit the metadata in image files, including Canon CR2/CRW and Nikon NEF.

 

Among other topics, the FAQ describes how Photo Info places the metadata inside the file and the implications, if any, for other applications that also read or edit metadata.
