Pentax has published some preliminary information about, and photos of, four products currently under development that the company will preview at Photokina later this month.
Three of the new products are reduced-image-circle pro-level lenses for digital SLRs that will have built-in "supersonic" motors (clearly intended to complement the newly announced K10D digital SLR):
- a 16-50mm f/2.8ED
- a 50-135mm f/2.8ED
- a 60-250mm f/4ED
The fourth product is the medium format digital SLR, tentatively called the 645 Digital, that Pentax has previously revealed is being developed. Pentax indicates that it will be introduced with an 18-megapixel sensor and states that it will be "continuously upgraded ... with its final effective megapixels expected to reach a 30-megapixel level."
