Contour Design has released a settings file for its Shuttle line of multimedia controllers that enable them to control Apple's Aperture.

The ShuttleXpress, ShuttlePRO and ShuttlePRO V2 controllers are all supported. ShuttlePRO V2 owners, for example, can browse through photos using the controller's inner jog wheel, then use the outer wheel to move through previews, while programmable controller buttons perform certain functions like show/hide loupe, crop, zoom, rate photos and more.

The settings file created for Aperture can be modified, or a new settings file can be created from scratch for Apple's pro image management application. Shuttle controllers can also be configured to work with many other Mac and Windows programs.
