Epson in Japan has announced the R-D1s, a relatively minor update to the company's digital rangefinder camera, the R-D1. Improvements include the addition of a RAW+JPEG shooting mode and a Quick View image review feature.

As of this writing, the announcement appears to be available only in Japanese, but Digital Photography Review and Imaging Resource have English-language write-ups on the new camera.
