Micron Technology and Lexar have jointly announced Micron's intention to acquire Lexar. The companies have entered into a stock-for-stock merger agreement that will see the Fremont, California-based Lexar become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Micron by the end of the third quarter of this year. Micron is headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
