After an extended public beta period, the official release of Camera Bits Photo Mechanic 4.4.1 for Mac and Windows is due out tomorrow, says Camera Bits President Dennis Walker.

Changes in v4.4.1 include the ability to easily sync caption data between RAW and converted JPEG files, even when those files reside in different folders. Other key changes are noted in a previous article.

Yesterday, Camera Bits posted what is expected to be the last beta version of 4.4.1, with a built-in expiry date of February 2, 2006. This should give the company an extra incentive to release v4.4.1 officially on February 1, 2006 as planned.
