Lightroom Beta 1.1, a new build of Adobe's work-in-progress pro imaging application slated for official release later in 2006, is now available for download from Adobe Labs. As with the initial beta release earlier this month, this one is for Mac only (OS X 10.4.3 or later is required).

In a post in the Lightroom beta discussion area on the Adobe Labs site, Adobe's George Jardine notes the following changes in Beta 1.1:

-Removed possibility of file deletion after a duplicate file is imported into the Library using the "Move Files to Lightroom Library" option

-Updated processing algorithms for the Panasonic DMC-LX1 and Panasonic DMC-FZ30 cameras
