Camera Bits has officially released Photo Mechanic 4.4 for Windows and Mac. The major update to the pro photo browser beefs up the program's image import and image captioning functionality, adds CD/DVD burning, lossless JPEG rotation and much, much more.

Photo Mechanic 4.4 is a free update for anyone who purchased the software on or since November 1, 2004. If the software was registered prior to that date, and is v3.0 or later, the upgrade cost to 4.4 is US$90.
