Iridient Digital has released v1.2 of RAW Developer, a Mac-only RAW conversion application that debuted at the end of last year.
The new version adds support for RAW image files from the Nikon D2X, as well as the Fujifilm S3 Pro, the Minolta Dynax/Maxxum 7D, the Epson R-D1, several medium-format digital backs, and an assortment of digicams.
Iridient Digital says there are also significant improvements in the speed of loading RAW files and updating the image preview while editing.
We have seen Internet reports from some users who are finding RAW Developer to be significantly faster with D2X NEF files than the only other current option, Nikon Capture 4.2.1.
The application is compatible with OS 10.2.8 or later, and a free trial version, which watermarks all exported images, is available for download. A full license costs US$69.95.
