Apple today announced the iPod Camera Connector, an accessory designed to allow the offloading of photos directly from a camera to an iPod photo.

A press release provides little other information about the iPod Camera Connector, including how it connects to the camera and whether it will import all files from the camera, including those shot in a RAW format.

The iPod Camera Connector is to ship in late March 2005 for US$29 in the U.S. A CNET news.com article offers some additional information about the accessory. 

Apple also announced a 30GB version of iPod photo, which joins the existing 60GB model.
