Western Digital has announced the WD Passport USB 2.0 hard drive. It's available in 40GB and 80GB versions.
The palm-sized Passport drives are bus-powered (though an optional power adapter is available), enclosed in a "shock-absorbing case", and compatible with Windows 98SE+ or Mac OS 9.2.2+ and Mac OS 10.1.5+.
The drives will be available in December for suggested list prices of US$199 (40GB) and US$249 (80GB) in the U.S.
