MyPublisher, a company that offers an online photo book printing service, has announced a 12x16-inch Deluxe photo book product.

To use MyPublisher's service, you layout your book using the company's fairly rudimentary (i.e. not on the same continent as Quark) desktop software application (Windows 98+ only) and upload the resulting file to the company's server. MyPublisher prints your book, binds it in a linen hardcover, and ships it to you. The cost is US$59.80 in the U.S.

This past summer we ordered MyPublisher's smaller 9x12-inch cloth-bound photo book (US$19.80) and were impressed with the quality of the cover, binding, and paper, but the actual printing of our images was very disappointing.

That caveat stated, it's a cool idea, and if MyPublisher has improved its printing along with offering this bigger book size, the Deluxe book might make an interesting portfolio or self-promotional piece.
