Photographer and apparent Javascript programmer Thomas Fors has posted a beta Photoshop script, known as ACR-Calibrator.js, that automates the task of calibrating Adobe Camera Raw 2.3 for your particular camera.
It works thusly: you photograph a Macbeth Color Checker in RAW format and then run ACR-Calibrator on the file. The script automatically determines the best settings for the various adjustments in the ACR calibration tab.
ACR-Calibrator.js is compatible only with Adobe Camera Raw 2.3, and it should work on both Windows and Macintosh, according to Fors. Instructions for using it are posted on the same web page where the script can be downloaded.
