Creativepro has published an article by photographer Brian Lawler detailing his experiences with three standalone image storage devices: the SmartDisk FlashTrax, the Epson P-1000 Photo Viewer, and the Belkin Media Reader for iPod, which lets you download images from media cards to Apple's popular music player.

Lawler was not previously a fan of standalone picture storage gadgets for professional use but believes that speed and battery life improvements on the newer units have made them more useful.
