Delkin today has released a near-final version of the Mac OS X driver for the CardBus 32 Adapter for CompactFlash.

In a quick examination here, the new version, 1.0b5, appears to allow hot-swapping of the high-speed CompactFlash-to-PC Card adapter (though it may take several seconds for the card icon to appear on the desktop). The earlier beta driver required a restart each time the adapter was removed and reinserted into the PC Card slot of a Mac laptop.

Last month, Delkin issued an apology for the delay in releasing a final version of the Mac driver for this product.
