The photo recovery application PhotoRescue, both the Wizard and Expert versions, has been updated to v2.0.0 Build 657 for both Mac OS X and Windows.
Changes include:
Support for the recovery of additional RAW file formats (which cameras' RAW formats have been added has not been specified by Data Rescue)
Improved previewing of RAW files (especially those shot with Canon cameras) within the application. This change has not impacted the recovery of RAW files, only the appearance of the previews of RAW files within PhotoRescue
Recovery of movie files has been improved, while recovery of PDF files is now possible even when the file system on the card is not used during the analysis and recovery process
When previewing files that PhotoRescue has located, the program now makes a distinction between files that appear corrupted and therefore can't be displayed (and are unlikely to be recoverable), and files which may be intact but the display of a preview isn't possible because preview support for the file format isn't built into PhotoRescue (though the program may be able to recover them just fine)
