Reuters [via Yahoo News] reports that prices for NAND flash memory, the basic component in flash storage media such as CompactFlash cards, will continue their recent sharp declines. Some flash chips are already more than 50% cheaper than they were in October of last year, and the article quotes a Gartner analyst who predicts that prices will fall 32% this year and another 42% in 2005.
