PCWorld reports on the launch this week of two new ruggedized laptops from HP, a 1.7GHz P4 standard notebook called the nr3600 and a 933MHz Mobile P3 tablet PC dubbed the tr3000. Both products are built to withstand being left out in the rain overnight or dropped 26 times onto plywood from a height of three feet, PCWorld says. They can also simultaneously operate Bluetooth, WiFi (802.11), and cellular (GPRS and CDMA) wireless network connections.
List prices in the U.S. are US$4099 for the nr3600 notebook and US$3449 for the tr3000 tablet PC.
