Lexar Media has posted a free updater for Image Rescue (scroll to the end of the page) that enables users of v1.x of the image recovery and card maintenance software to update to v2.0. The updater is for Mac OS X 10.2 and later, Windows 2000 and XP.

Image Rescue 2.0 for Mac and Windows is also about to replace Image Rescue 1.3.2 as the version bundled with Lexar's Pro Series CompactFlash cards. In addition, Lexar is preparing to ship the boxed version of Image Rescue 2.0 to retailers. It's expected to be on store shelves in the next two weeks.
