The World-Wide Media Exchange (WWMX) is a centralized database of photographs tagged by their shooting location. It's an experimental project of Microsoft Research's Interactive Visual Media Group.
The WWMX web site includes information and software tools for browsing the database or adding your own pictures to it. You'll also find utilities for stamping Global Positioning System data into the EXIF headers of photos and for authoring, viewing, and navigating location-correlated photo travelogues.
All of the Windows-only software applications are free and require Microsoft's .NET Framework v1.1 to operate.
