Alera has announced the Slim Cruiser Quad and Slim Cruiser Quad Plus portable external DVD+R/RW recorders. Both are less than an inch thick and feature 4X DVD write speeds. The Quad Plus is equipped with an integrated Li-on rechargeable battery pack. List prices in the U.S. are US$399 for the standard version and US$449 for the Quad Plus.
