Fujifilm has released a new version of RAW File Converter EX for the FinePix S2 Pro. Version 2.0 of the software, which is available as a free download, has been released in Windows, Mac OS 9 and OS X versions. The download web site notes an improvement in the precision of software-based exposure compensation, which can now be adjusted in increments as fine as 1/6 EV.

Also available for download is Fujifilm's Camera Shooting Software suite for Mac OS X.

Some or all of the updates require the original Hyper-Utility CD-ROM to be inserted before installation will take place. The updates are available on Fujifilm USA's www.s2prosoftware.com web site. Registration (with a US address) is required, though the site doesn't appear to validate the address entered.
