| Microtech uses FireWire |

Microtech is prepping a driver for its Microtech FireWire CameraMate card reader that will bring full compatibility with Mac OS X. Also in the works is an update to the driver for earlier Mac OS versions that does not insist on controlling all FireWire devices, as is the case with the FWB Toolkit extension shipping with the reader currently. A release date has not been set for either driver.
