| Lexar announces 640MB 16X CompactFlash |

Lexar Media today announced a new addition to its 16X line of Compactflash cards. The 640MB CompactFlash Type I card, part of Lexar's Pro Series, is slated to ship to retailers December 1. It joins 4 other capacities - 192MB, 256MB, 320MB and 512MB - in Lexar's 16X lineup. For more information, see Lexar announces 16X CompactFlash cards.
The company also recently announced a new mid-range line of 12X CompactFlash cards, called the High Speed Series, designed to offer 12X speed for less than US$1/MB. They are available in 64MB, 128MB, 192MB and 256MB capacities.
