Rich Clarkson's Sports Photography Workshop, which kicks off in less than two weeks, has 10 slots remaining for the all-digital, week-long event for up-and-coming shooters of sports.
Participants will photograph with the Nikon D1, as well as receive instruction on the camera from both Nikon technical staff and me (I'm attending as both instructor and participant). Top flight sports photographers and editors on the faculty include Dave Black, Bill Epperidge, Mike Powell, Joey Terrill, Mark J. Terrill, Porter Binks, Brandon Lopez and, of course, Rich Clarkson. Instruction will include sessions on remote camera installations, arena lighting, athlete portraiture and a look at the business side of freelance sports photography.
The workshop, which is in its 17th year, runs June 25-30 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. For more information, see the Rich Clarkson web site. Calgary freelancer Craig Klem's web site provides a brief look at last year's workshop.
