| IBM to increase hard drive capacity |

A number of readers noted IBM's recent announcement of an innovation that will greatly increase the capacity of hard drives. Called Antiferromagnetically coupled (AFC) media, it will enable the company to produce 6 GB Microdrives, as well as 200GB laptop and 400GB desktop drives, by 2003.
